Play calling and play design and number of different plays has been bad......only reason we have been good on offence this year is a veteran OL and talented RB's and WR's.

Honestly, I hope he moves on.

Lane Kiffin's offence should be what we are shooting for.

Good to great coaches don't call stinkers. Inconsistent play calling is a mark of an average coach at best.

He has called many stinkers. Many Ags see it and are done with him. I'm definitely one of them.

The entire game plan, offense and defense, was ultra conservative based out of fear.

Klein was afraid to power run and throw downfield. Elko was afraid arch would scramble. We ended up with 4 Q's of swing passes and prevent defense.

Agree with the first part. That said, it seemed like Reed was looking downfield a lot, but there just wasn't anything open.

Just remember...if Klein leaves A&M for whatever reason, there is a very good chance a lot of our offensive talent will leave with him. The dudes on offense love him, and if he's not on staff next year, he'll likely take key personnel with him. I'm not happy at all with the job Klein did last night, but this is a "seller beware" situation. The transfer portal can be a nasty beast as coaches come and go.

Reed clearly did not play with any urgency until the 4th quarter. You could literally see it in his body. It was too late and then had to start forcing throws

This team goes as Reed goes. If he will pull it down and run and not turn the ball over, we are hard to beat.

There were multiple times if he had just run it, we would've kept drives alive. Frustrating.

Play selection and game plan was horrible.

Elko needs to encourage adding a 2-5 yard play section to the play book and explain to him that we NEED 2 yards.

Reed has to be taught that just because you have a big diamond "10" that someone bought you, doesn't mean you can throw in to triple coverage across the field with a mid-strength arm.

Completely disagree. Elko is the nucleus of this "thing"….and I would like to think he's got a replacement (or replacementS) already in mind. I'm betting that Elko got those guys on staff a good raise, and will have to really scratch their collective heads about going someplace that won't be as lucrative as what this place has been.

Folks clearly have no idea how much this year's offensive explosion is a DIRECT result of Klein's schemes. He ****s the bed in big spots from time to time, but he's considered for HC gigs for a reason.

Marcel Reed is gifted at using his legs to "get a first" and goes out of bounds 1-3 feet from the sticks to avoid contact. It has happened probably 10-15 times this year, and almost every time we dont convert.

And every time it's 3rd and one, even with a timeout, we seem to **** up the play call and have to punt.

You have to convert those to be a championship-caliber team.

Keep in mind he tweaked his ankle in the 1st Quarter. He was probably a lot more hesitant to run.

Always afraid. This is the way programs who have never win anything think. There is a front windshield.

When the pool of coaches is small, some will think outside the box.
Taking himself as a HC isn't even considering the box….

Notice I didn't say anything about some players transferring out being a bad thing. I know the team and program should be bigger than just a handful of players. I was just pointing out that in today's college athletics landscape, having a coach move on for whatever reason will cause a ripple effect throughout the team...good or bad.

This above post is the Best Observation and Post of the Day.

Spot On - We were beat before we even walked into this stadium.
Our overall Game Plan - Was weak and based upon fear...
Both the Coaches and t.u. Totally took away everything that we are good at.

Last night - We were not the aggressors that we have been all season.
We received all of the punches and never really delivered any blows...

NO ! Any play that nets less than 4 yards is not a play, it's a loss. That means you don't keep running up the middle for nothing (UTMFN) or West-East no yards (WENY…pronounced "weenie") plays over and over. It also means you don't throw passes shorter than the line to gain on 3rd down.

But Klein and Elko never learn.

Yep, I'd consider him for any coaching job…..other than the one he has now!

Don't care if Klein gets a head coaching job or not, just that he gets a job at some other university.

A&M would be lucky to hold onto Klein. Staff and players alike were terrible against tu. Doesn't change the Klein is a badass OC.

They were dropping everyone into coverage. That's why we should've run, or thrown intermediate routes to the TE. "Go where they ain't".

How many yards did their TE have? Because he was wide ass open for some big chunk plays.

I've noticed since early season, Klein's hesitancy to put Reed in motion whether for some kind of play action or RPO. Commits Reed to be a pocket passer and doesn't lean on some decent OLine - RB talent we have. CFP play may expose our teams shortcomings more esp. offense. Hope Klein (and entire coaching staff) can adapt to get players ready in a couple of weeks.

Bill Snyder's offense was to move the chains, repeatedly get the ball to playmaker, take shots downfield on early downs, and get downhill in the red zone. Klein is running Bill Snyder's stuff, but his sequencing is way off. The 3rd and 2 deep shot was the epitome of this.

Any OC with above average intelligence could put up 40 points per game with this talent. We were having good success running. Game plan shouldve been simple, run, run, play action pass. Repeat. Instead we have this idiot run a waifair air raid offense out of nowhere last night

This is the most frustrating part of his game plan, and you have to wonder if he's playing the long game with Marcel and trying to avoid injury. Hopefully he realizes it's do or die in the playoffs and he finally let's Marcel run at will

Klein is young and will make mistakes. A) does he have potential? B) Does he have good instincts? C) Does he learn from mistakes? I think the future is bright.
