It's not just that we lost. Wins and losses are a part of every season, though it would have been nice to go undefeated.

But it's the way we lost again, to our hated rival in front of a nation wide tv audience.

We were too stuffed in rat poison to be hungry for the win.

Everything from the game plan to the execution was off.

Outcoached and outplayed by an *average* Texas team. Even Manning said after the game they didn't play well.

If we had lost earlier in the season to ND, that would have sucked but at least we played like we wanted it.

But we didn't want it badly enough last night. The lights were too bright. The stage was too big. We had the chance to shine and we folded.

We played like little brother and did everything to secure the "little brother" moniker for years to come.

But we are 11-1 and that's no small accomplishment. And we control our own destiny. Hopefully we can get our heads back on straight.

Here's hoping we can redeem ourselves in the playoffs.

Season is not over and this is a resilient team.

Let's see what happens.

We got out-coached.

And our best players were rendered ineffective.

And the sips ran it straight up the middle.

And freaking night.

And our halftime adjustments didn't bail us out this time. And it showed. Massively.

Sucks that we lost but it's not the end of the season - lots to play for.

I'm most distressed that it all fell apart in the second half. That is where we have come out and dominated and to see us get out worked was disheartening.

Our overall Game Plan - Was weak and based upon fear...
It totally took away everything that we are good at.

Last night - We were not the aggressors that we have been all season.
We received all of the punches and never really delivered any blows...

For sure. We've been so good in the second half this year that last night's collapse was so disheartening.

Literally every time we lose a game somebody makes a post like this.

It's just that we lost.

It's not just that we lost, as I mentioned. It's the way we lost.

The newbs wanted this game back and they deserve the years of misery coming from the outcome of it.

Texas clearly wanted it more last night.
And that makes me want to puke.

Such a loser mentality.
Yeah let's not blame the entire team and staff coming out flat and laying an egg. Let's blame people who wanted to play our arch rival in football again.

Nightmare scenario, but we've gotta learn from this and move on. We can crush them for the next decade.

Sick of the loser mentality. This team should be angry and vicious when they go out against that lousy school in Austin. Why did it seem like they didn't want it more than the whorns? Why was it so uninspired for this game among all the others?

Total embarrassment nationally. This is why I think there has to be some curse on Texas A&M football because I don't know why they played like that. I can't blame the coach. I don't know the team that showed up last night. It was total worst case scenario. It's heartbreaking.

The players were following the coaches' lead. Conservative/scared/uncharacteristic play calling and flustered body language was mirrored by the players. From Jumpstreet the calls looked like what I'd expect from an intimidated underdog.

The mental aspect has been the greatest improvement Elko brought this season and to see it thrown out the windows voluntarily was disappointing. Its not like Texas was lights out.

The mental performance in the playoff will show us if we have a contender or pretender program. It's time to play 4 full quarters of good ball.

I think our team has gotten too comfortable with playing from behind and pulling off a win too many times this season….at some point, the luck would run out…unfortunately for us, it did in that cesspool called dkr.

Thank you Hank. I'm already tired of this line. I'm an Old Ag and I wanted to play them and beat them. I hate losing to tu as much as anybody. Bunch of p*****s that are worried about playing our oldest and most hated rival. Beat them and we won't have a year of misery.

Wait till next year! Gig'em Ags and let's win some playoff games!

What adjustments? Maybe I missed them but I didn't see any changes other than more offensive failures and a defense being run over. Someone show this team especially the DBs the video "the hit" and teach them to tackle with a purpose.

Yep. A trip to our first conference championship on the line since 1998 and even that couldn't motivate our players. Nothing has changed with this program, just a revolving door of coaches.

A&M has historically been a mediocre football program. Every great once in a while, we would have a break out year only to lay an egg in the "big games". Even in the Jackie era, there would be games our team would lay an egg and cost us dearly. RC's teams laid eggs on a much more expected frequency. I don't know why now anyone would expect something different with this coaching staff. Elko is a good coach. But even with him, we'll see more of the same with the football program.

Did you want Reed playing next week or letting him recover for 3 weeks? Including Moss.

Think logically, something changed after halftime.

Don't know how it looked on TV. But watching this team live, the d-line is slow, our linebackers are slow, and our secondary is slow. And, I thought we were suppose to have an elite O-line. They got their ass whipped. Just a casual observation mind you...having been there.

Edited to point out we were out-coached...offensively AND defensively.

Yeah, it's that we lost for the 2nd year in a row to our rival and for the 2nd year in a row our rival has kept us out of the SEC Champ. Game and possibly two conference titles.

Sark changed his run game the 2nd half, they quit running zone runs and started running gap schemes. We did not adjust to this and got gashed. Every big run we had two guys in the same gap. Arch could have run for 150 yards easily. He did us a favor throwing it. We consistently struggle with qb run game and blown assignments on defense. Our lb pass coverage is pretty bad as well. When we couldn't get them in 3rd and longs we were done. We abandoned the run game in the 3rd quarter and they pressured the qb better which caused bad technique and turnovers.

And neither playing nor coaching anywhere near our best on either side of the ball. That's what upset me most. It's like being charged with a huge task at work to impress your potential client with an important presentation and falling flat on your face.

I don't mind the horns down, these idiots were doing it when we weren't playing them from 2012 to 2023. Like the "Repliers" above, some Ags are more concerned with playing our "Arch Rival"....no pun intended......and they'd rather go 1-11 as long as they win THAT GAME. And we wonder why they laugh at us when they kick out ass on a regular basis. Wasn't it enough that Schlossgoober sabotaged our baseball NC by tanking game 3.

**** texas, it was so nice not dealing with those ******s for 12 years.

We lost the line of scrimmage again (Worst last year) and their QB is better than ours .

Im class of 99 and im glad its back. What I DON'T like is tu in the SEC. I don't think they're a good fit, and I liked having our own space. In a perfect world, we get the game back and they stay in the B12.

Very true and well said! Thank goodness we played the schedule we played this year or we would've still been mediocre. Is what it is
