Why do you have to extend? We have better facilities, better NIL, better recruiting area, fans that are second to none. Sure, Penn State won a national title 40 years ago, but that's about all they can claim that is better. We need to start having some faith in what we've built. We have everything a coach needs to win here.
Although, I am sure some on here will be calling for a buyout next year, it will be premature. That doesn't mean the contract extension wasn't also premature. We need to start demanding Championships (at least at the conference level) before we give an extension. If another program comes calling, we need to not be afraid to let a guy walk. If he does, it means he can't see what we've built here, or he cares more about money. Neither are signs of a championship level coach.
