These are basic fundamental things any team in the top 12 should have mastered, yet our expensive ass coach who just got an unwarranted extension can't even get the kicking aspect of our game mastered. This is not a CFP-caliber team with these glaring issues.

They've should have scrapped the protection system for punts long ago and reset with a different way. The three protectors thing has sucked a**.

And recruiting failure thinking that punter is good enough heading into this season. He is way below average for a power 5 punter.

And kicking failure... Like it or not- Bond is our best fg kicker and he should have been still doing fgs last night. Doesn't take a genius to see the flight path of his ball is far superior. The other guy is not power 5 good enough (reason why he didn't kick at Georgia).

And why the f did special teams stop kicking the ball through the end zone? And why did Bond suddenly get that kicking job? It's like we are a running a YMCA team and splitting up duties and not giving it to the best man for the job. The other kicker had been great at kickoffs all season.

Great teams execute consistently on special teams. We saw a glimpse of it with the fake punt against Mizzou. More times than not, I am holding my breath when we punt or even kick an extra point

Don't we also not put specialists on scholarship? Think we just offset the difference with NIL so they don't count against scholarship count.

I don't like to single out players, however, White was $ last year but not close to it this year and Bond was solid at least on FGs earlier in the year and last year and has also gotten off track. Recently even the KO team has struggled. Almost ready to go back to the 12th Man KO crew. I can surmise some obvious things but informed observations in general and regarding nuances would be interesting (I think).
