I do not understand the meltdown from last night's loss. Yes, it sucks to lose to sip, especially when we are the superior team when we both bring our A game. But let's not pretend that all but 5-6 teams wouldn't gladly change places with us.

Silverfield's teams at Memphis had the most financial backing of any team in the AAC, and he couldn't get to the AAC championship game.

That's why he could work the transfer portal so well for a G5 school.

He's about to go to a school that isn't in the top half for funding in the SEC (just my guess).


Part of me has wondered if the connection is the Sam Walton family, and maybe Silverfield worked well with them while at Memphis, and that's the connection, because nothing else makes sense. Maybe it isn't a coincidence that Arkansas has two former Memphis coaches coaching their two revenue sports.

I saw a short documentary (linked below) that shows Jerry Jones resides in Protown, and that's why he isn't involved.

. I agree. I worry about some of these guys. 11-1, going to the playoffs, another home game at Kyle, 3 weeks to get everyone healthy. Whoever puts together a great 4 game stretch wins the NC. It's a shame some on here cannot seem to enjoy this season.

That was the intended point of my post. They're all making sometimes significant infrastructure donations, but I'm not seeing a lot of NIL support going along with it...

I don't get the subject title considering it hasn't been THAT long since the Hogs were a top team under Petrino and the Ags were barely ranked.

That said, A&M should have been in the playoff in 2020 over Notre Dame, making it 5 years since we've been in a similar position.

This thread was started the day after the loss to tu.

It was just a sad sack response to the loss.

And also, Petrino days at Arky was nearly 15 years ago and they've maybe made 3 bowl games since then. They have been baaad of late.
