Other than recency bias, I just don't see how we're below Oregon, Ole Miss, and Tech. We've lost one game on the road to a ranked opponent at night. Ole Miss has a good resume, bad situation brewing. Oregon has beaten nobody… Tech lost to Arizona State…

Oregon winning last 2 rather convincingly and taking care of biz while we made USCe look other worldy for a 1/2 and lost to tu and looked like chit doing it (couldn't stop the run and our RBs couldn't run consistently).

We screwed ourselves and don't expect any subjective favors.

Olemiss loss: #3 Georgia on road, Best win: #8 on the road
Ore loss: #2 Indiana @ home, Best win: #17 USC home
Ags: loss: #14 Texas on Road, best win: #9 Notre Dame on road
Tech loss: unranked ASU on road, Best win: #11 BYU

If you use this metric, Ole Miss should be ahead, tossup between Oregon and Ags and Tech clearly bad.
Tech has been focussed on style points though.

It's a good sign because the poll votes are submitted before Kiffin bailed. They'll be lower in the CFP poll

Or at least, I doubt many coach secretaries were considering that when filling it out
