The nil has changed the recruiting landscape in Louisiana. In the past, there was a wall around Louisiana keeping talent in state. A lot of Lsu's success was due to this. No one isnt going to argue BK was a bad fit. But, the nil and transfer portal have evened out recruiting in the state.

Kiff is going to find the lsu has lost its luster.

I think he's gonna do no better than. Kelly did there. TBH. It takes a crazy guy to win big there, Saban, the GOAT, excluded. Other than the Mad Hatter, Les Miles, and the Shrimp Boat Captain, Ed Orgeron, you'll see a lot of spare coaches in their history that don't do a whole lot there, even with all of the NFL talent that Louisiana produces.

Kiffin is an awful mesh with LSU fans, just as Kelly was a terrible fit .

Kiffin gets home games vs both Texas A&M and tu next year. They also play Alabama and Miss State at home after opening with Clemson. Road games at Ole Miss, Auburn and Tennessee. He better get some portal guys in soon.

I know there were promises made on NIL bank but between kiffin pay bk buyout and new staff payroll will they actually have the money for these big time nil bills?

They have commitment for $25 million a year in NIL. That is nothing special. NIL is what counts, there are no hometown discounts. The same people who write the NIL checks are the same people paying BK, paying Kiffin's buyout to OM, paying Woodward, and paying assistant coaches who are fired.

So they have a $70 million hole to fill. They have taken a big hit. And i would be surprised if Kiffin didn't have $25 million NIL at OM.

They pretty much bought Kiffin a national championship roster at OM two years ago and the results didn't change much. I don't know why there's an assumption he's going to have significantly better material at LSU. Or that it will make a huge difference.

I believe this Kiffin love fest is going to be one colossal failure. It has all the earmarks of a to ic relationship, and Kiffin has yet to prove he can win at the highest level (the top teams).

Look at his actual results, including this year, and see who he's beaten and in what manner. I don't see long-term success as LSU defines it.

Expectations are going to be really high from the beginning. Bama, Texas, A&M, at Ole Miss (they will be amped), and Tennessee in his first season. They get the first 3 at home, but that's a pretty salty schedule.
