Bobby Bonilla day is July 1st where the Mets pay him 1.2 million a year from 2011-2035 with 8% interest. When they owed him only $5 million to start with according to his contract.

Thankfully Jimbo isn't accruing any interest payments.

I believe it was within 60 days. Maybe 30 or 90. I'm sure he's deposited the check by now.

Jimbo was paid 19.3 million within 60 days of his termination.
He gets annual payments of around 7.2 million each year until 2031.
Those were terms of his contract.
Not sure what day or month he gets paid..or if it's distributed in monthly installments.

We paid him 25% upfront. We still owe him $7.2 million annually through his the length of his contract in 2031.

I was wondering if he has a payday each year or if we pay him 600000/month through the length of his contract.

If we're paying him annually or monthly, he should be on campus working for us. Make him a janitor.

They lump sum pay him a portion per year, as per his contract terms, just like he was still coaching.

I have it on very good authority he was paid all of it up front which one could argue might be dumb considering the dollar just keeps losing value over time, but that's a separate argument. Also, it doesn't really matter in the end. We paid him a **** ton of money to go away whether he got paid all of it or is still getting paid through 2031.

It's an annual lump-sum payment tied to the January monthly payroll cycle. The next payment will hit his bank account on 2/2/26. https://employees.tamu.edu/payroll/calendars.html
