It doesn't matter that the Aggies went on the road and beat Missouri (25), Notre Dame (9), and LSU at night so convincingly that LSU fired its coach and the governor got involved.
It doesn't matter. "Their schedule sucks" I guess if you're doing the pointing no one is looking at you.
It doesn't matter that Ole Miss lost its coach. Yes, we all remember the Florida State situation, but this isn't the same. This is a coach, not a starting quarterback, and the committee isn't going to punish an entire locker room because of Lane Kiffin or the absurd timing of the college football calendar.
It doesn't matter.
It doesn't matter that Texas A&M beat Notre Dame. Nobody cared before the loss to tu, and nobody cares now.
Honestly, why does anyone schedule Notre Dame anymore? There's no reward for beating them and all the risk If only bottom-tier programs agree to play them, why should they be allowed anywhere near the playoff? Join a conference or enjoy a full slate of Cal Poly and Sam Houston. Everyone should eliminate notre dame by simply not playing them.
But none of this matters, A&M will be the lowest-ranked one-loss team. We'll land at eight or nine.
This season makes one thing crystal clear: there's only one way to earn respect. It isn't winning a big game or two. It's winning everything.
No respect or all of it. There is no in-between for this team.
And honestly? Good.
BTHO everyone.
If you ain't in my jersey….
