Its more related to where the committee views the pecking order of Oregon, Ole Miss, and the Ags. They view the Ags as the worst 1 loss team.

They kept saying how ND and Miami H2H wasn't going to be considered until they were in the set of 4 teams. Here we are and yet it still isn't considered

Well, I'm kind of in agreement with them. If you are hanging your hat on 'based on current rankings', then you could have said something like "looks like we are currently lined up to play ND again given this weeks rankings" or something like that. Otherwise it sounds like you have closed the door and that's who we will play for sure. Just my $0.02

It's funny you would think seeing us paired for a rematch with ND would remind everyone that Tech and Oregon played a cream puff non conference schedule. Heck Tech couldn't even beat their conference opponent Arizona State that lost to Miss St. in non-conference play. At this point it's pretty hard to tell what criteria the CFP is even using to compare teams from different conferences.

Georgia beats Bama and they will move to the #2 slot.
then Bama comes to Kyle with the winner facing #2 Georgia in quarterfinal.
Not sure the committee wants to put a scenario in place that has Bama and Georgia meeting for the 3rd time this season unless its in the semifinal or finals
I think we will stay at 7, but 10 seed could easily change.

There is 100% no reason to schedule hard non conference teams. NONE. That is the lesson learned. If we played anyone else and we were 11-1, we would be in the same spot. Also, loose early. The teams with one loss ahead of us make no sense. TT lost to ASU for goodness sakes.
