There are 4 games/8 teams active but 12 active, and the 2nd round has 8 teams remaining which is how I understood quarters to be defined.

There is the First Round, followed by quarters, then semis and final.

Bama over Georgia - until UGA can show they can beat Bama, it will remain a thing. I don't get it, because UGA is the superior team, but they are completely snakebit against Bama.

I have no idea between tOSU and IU. I think IU may take this one.

Not touching Tech vs. BYU. I have a feeling it will be Tech vs. the refs and BYU considering everything that is at stake.

So Bama beats Georgia twice and then has to get past them a third time just to reach the semifinals? I have a hard time seeing the committee seed it that way. Bama fans would be rightfully pissed.

I see Georgia beating Bama. Bama gets left out. Notre Dame in at 10. The committee SHOULD move Ole Miss down as result of Kiffin leaving but based on the current positioning I don't think that happens, but maybe we'll get a surprise!

Yea that was kinda silly of me. On the bright side, my basic counting issues may qualify me for a spot on the CFB playoff committee.

Agree on OSU over Indiana, but think that OSU is in the driver's seat the entire time and wins by 14+.

I'm convinced that the committee slotted Bama at 9 this past week so they can "punish" them if they lose, but still basically keep the status quo (they're still in and still have a first round away game), all while avoiding having to drop a Power 2 CCG participant out of the playoffs, having to address the ND/Miami head-to-head, and setting two first round rematches (7/10 A&M vs. ND rematch and 8/9 OU vs. Bama rematch).

Well if that's true then you can currently bet on Ole Miss to beat Virginia and get -145. Implying there's only a 59% chance Ole Miss could win that game.

I think Bama is vulnerable of dropping out IF they get blown out; hence, why Miami is breathing down their neck. However, I don't see that happening and see nothing really changing. No way they're just going to arbitrarily drop out ND for Miami when neither school is playing.

I could see Tard moving up to 3 if OSU blows out IU, but already said I think may mostly be locked in UNLESS we think they'll tweak some spots for better "ratings" matchups. Do we think that's a possibility?
