My son just committed to a D1 school for track and field (sadly not gonna be an Aggie). He primarily used Instagram, starting about his sophomore year to document progress/achievements in practice, weightroom, competition and in classroom. If he got something like All-American, lifting goal or pb he would tag coaches at schools he was interested in and eventually they noticed. He also would reach out directly to coaches and it was really useful to quickly tell his story and getting OVs, etc. For football there is more competiton. Need to have body and talent. Be realistic. make sure to have a good relationship with HS coach, it matters. As a hs coach if a recruiter asks me about a kid, im not going to sugar coat if they are a problem. never too soon to make a good name. Hit the camps, 7 on 7 etc to network. Be sure to get his hudl film from your staff and market that as well. Not just highlights but show the work snd improvement. Play muktiple sports. Dont forget JUCO, D2 3 as well.
