If Bama wins, #8 A&M will almost certainly host #9 OU. The only questions are a) How far does Bama rise, and b) is the #10 team Miami or ND. There aren't any rematches in play so it's purely on how the committee views the teams. And neither affects us R1.
If Bama loses, it gets a bit more complicated. The two questions are a) Does Bama get kicked out entirely? and if not, b) Who gets the last spot, Miami or ND?
If Bama is kicked out for a loss (meaning Miami and ND are both in), ND will be #9 and Miami #10, to avoid the A&M v ND rematch. We will be #7 hosting #10 Miami.
If Bama is kept in despite losing, the committee has to decide if Miami or ND is getting the last spot.
Either way, Alabama at #9 causes a OU v Alabama rematch, so they're likely put as the #10. We are #7 hosting #10 Alabama. Only difference is either Miami or ND is the #9.
Tldr. Alabama wins, we host OU as the #8.
Alabama loses, we are the #7 hosting either Miami or Alabama, depending on if Alabama is kicked out for losing or not. I don't see a situation where we play ND.
