Tech has a huge advantage in the current landscape. As long as their billionaire donor keeps funding their team at SEC/BIG levels then they will make the playoffs more years than not. The hardest path to the playoffs is in the SEC where 11/16 teams spend at levels to win and 8/16 teams are above the bluechip ratio. That means that any given year 11 teams are competing for 4 spots in the SEC. I think Tech probably has a similar roster to Mizzou and they went 8-4 this year in the SEC.

Not completely. Certain teams get certain rules that don't apply to other people.

And Head to head seems to matter for some, but not for others.

Seems like Texas, Bama, LSU, Georgia, Notre Dame. They get special consideration that wouldn't apply to us another teams.

Y'all need to get over the fact that Tceh has played well this year and they are deserving of a spot. I get the hatred and the history with them, but of all the teams to ***** about in this playoff, they are not one of them.

I think Tech loses their 1st game to Oregon.

They can prove me wrong though just like Indiana proved me wrong last night. (I still think OSU will beat IU if they rematch in the playoffs though.)

I know most Aggies look down on them, but they're a good team.

I agree that they are the last remaining decent school in the Big 12 and that will serve them well moving forward.

Honestly, we need to take them seriously. My fear is we meet up in the title and lose to them.

TBH, I've only casually watched parts of their games. And yes, I get it, Big 12 is not a major conference anymore. But they pumped A LOT of funds into NIL and personally, I think they are legit this year. Are they really #4? No one has a clue. Are they legitimately a contender for the title... yes.

Mizzou had to win a shootout against Kansas. Tech, not so much. Their rosters are not comparabl.
