Orlando bowl. Fun place, great food concessions at the stadium, Florida recruit access, extra practice time. Why not go? Seems a no brainer to me.

We played like junk in Austin. Granted I still think we never found footing on their crappy turf that they practice on all the time. Also I think Reed was dinged more than he wanted (or would ever) admit.

They beat OU when Mateer was very freshly back from hand surgery and was obviously no where near ready.

I'll say again though..

Sam Houston
Florida -- LOSS
Kentucky -- OT
Mississippi State -- OT
Vanderbilt -- To the wire

They did improve as the season progressed, I'll give them that.

On the other hand

Texas had wins over a top 5 team (A&M), a top 10 team (Oklahoma) and a top 15 team (Vanderbilt).

How many (more) big / impressive wins did Ole Miss, Oklahoma or Oregon have?

Tech's overall schedule was soft, as was Ohio State's and Indiana's.

What about A&M?

They had wins over top 10 (ND) and two top 20's (Missouri, LSU), all on the road.

This is not a morale victory thread. I accept that we got outscored by those ****** bags. Going 12-0 in the SEC is tough….. The t-sips had an easy schedule last year when they came into the league and made to the Championship game. However, their arrogance and sense of entitlement has finally been their hubris. Sarky shamelessly campaigning (whining) that they should be in the playoffs (with 3 losses) was embarrassing. Though, they won most of their games this season (2 OTs, nail biting 4th quarters…. And losing to UF). I say, welcome to the SEC you arrogant *******s.

I find it funnier that they brag about strength of schedule, specifically mentioning tOSU and Georgia. Strength of schedule doesn't make you look better when you lose.

My goals each year: Texas A&M gets to playoffs and win national championship. Texas to not win the national championship.

I want to beat Texas but it isn't necessarily the goal…
