I think a place like Baylor is much more likely
I fail to see how this is any different than the Conner Weigman situation
Even with a disappointing season, I still expect Lagway to command top dollar in the market. With all the new coaches and the chaos this season, his market should still be fairly competitive.
At this point, he is damaged goods. He needs to find a coach that can fix him and get him to stop being a turnover machine.
He's shown flashes of potential. Several programs will believe that he could be great with better coaching and a better supporting cast.
NFL teams constantly roll the dice on QBs from 7-5 teams with great physical profiles. Sure, many of them whiff, but Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen also fit that profile. QBs are so valuable that teams will risk it all for a good one. How many chances did DJ Uiaguleilei get when it was clear that he sucked?

wasn't he already a $4M QB...wonder if new coach wanted him to take a pay cut to help secure other players?
why I think RGIII and others are pushing Marcel for portal perspective and if he's going to request a pay raise. If Marcel wins a couple in CFP games, then sure, open up the discussion . But, do wonder in today's world, it seems to be an overvalued market and overpaying which is driving the slow degradation of college athletics it appears.
Klein really liked Lagway too...maybe to KSU he goes (if he accepts a paycut that is).

I didn't really watch Florida except for our game. How much were Lagway's issues and how much was it his line and skill players?

I think it was a supporting cast issue, probably looking for a fresh start or system he feels matches his skills etc.
My bet is he will go to Miami
I bet he will look somewhere that has a great o line after his Florida experience .

He has potential..a ton of talent and a great arm with enough scramble ability to be exceptional dangerous in the right system and good coaching.
Why is he not on our radar? He's from Texas.

We're not in the portal market for a QB
He had better WRs at UF than he will at any place he goes. He has been very turnover prone. The hardest thing to fix is accuracy and judgement. Hard pass at the price he will cost.

People seem to forget that Jayden Daniel's TD to INT ratio was 1:1 the year before he transferred to LSU. Look at Bo Nix in Auburn vs Bo Nix in Oregon. Sometimes all players need is a change of scenery.
He's got LSU written all over him.
I heard some commentator say (at least three times during one broadcast) Lagway is from Willis. ... Same commentator referred to Marcel as Willis Reed.
