It has nothing to do with today's world. Throwing cotton was done in maybe 84/85 and not done since then. It not "TRADITION"!!! A&M is not playing in the cotton bowl, It's KYLE FIELD!!!!

It is actually being said, "Don't bring cotton, that could be taken in a bad manner."

It is awesome and a great idea. Don't live in fear that cotton might offend somebody.

It was done back then when the win guaranteed we went to the Cotton bowl as they had a contractual agreement to take the SWC champion. That wasn't the case with Big XII or SEC. So the exact bowl assignment wasn't guaranteed. Winner of this game goes to Cotton

If you still don't understand we can present it as a pop-up book, maybe that will help.

Maroon shirt and white towel (which happens to be made of cotton). Towel can be balled up to look like a cotton boll and thrown. Pretty simple really

85 cotton floating down from upper decks was so cool. OU, N, Mizzou used to throw oranges. Lou Holtz great line - glad we weren't going to the gator bowl.

Not true. We did it in the early 90s as well. And not sure why people don't get this... at the end of the game, if we win, you throw it as a symbol of the NEXT stop for the team.

It was an amazing site as a kid, literally looked like it was snowing, one of my most notable memories of Kyle field growing up ... students, fans, kids, and players missing out on that because the woke brigade are going to turn it into some weird racism thing when it obviously isnt...

I was a kid during the early 90s when we went to 3 straight Cotton Bowls. My Mom used to give us Cotton to throw. We also attended those Cotton Bowls against FSU & Notre Dame. Yes, it was a tradition, I did it multiple times.
