Miami Offense
Malachi Toney (10) WR - Dude is a beast. He's like Craver. A&M must shut him down.
Keelan Marion (0) WR - Don't sleep on this young man. If A&M shuts down Toney, he may be a factor.
Beck (11) QB - Pressure, pressure, pressure this young man. He should throw 2 interceptions against A&M (1 at minimum to keep things close). A&M D-line should have a great day. If given too much time in the pocket, he'll look like a Heisman winner.
Mark Fletcher (4) RB - Played a good game against SMU. Didn't see anything too special, but he could also pose a problem if A&M's LB's fall asleep.

Miami Defense
D-Line - Played lazy against the Cardinals, opening up the running game. Keionte Scott (CB) is back and will be a problem against our passing game.

SMU
Jennings, QB (7) - His feet gave Miami problems throughout the game. Marcel will have to use his legs to throw their defense off.

Louisville
Their defense was all over Beck, and he really made some bad interceptions in this one. A&M will have to neutralize him and prevent getting the ball to Toney.

SMU/Louisville used their TE's quite well, and Miami didn't do a good job of containing that position. Beck primarily targets WRs Marion and Toney. When Beck gets rattled, he makes some serious mistakes. Get in his face and A&M should see some awesome gifts. I can assure you Miami will use a ton of screens with Maleek Toney, and he's darn good in open space. Both losses Miami had were close scores, and the mistakes Beck made were the big difference in both. I see Miami having a lethargic game and A&M with a big win.
Furthermore, I was just interested in watching the game's Miami loss to see what contributed. You guessed it; "INTERCEPTIONS". Also, to see the weapons A&M is up against and that WR Toney is going to be a problem, but we'll overcome. The other reason is all the talk that Miami will win this one (I don't think so). Aggies and Canes are similar, for sure, but the 12th man, Marcel Reed's feet, and our RBs will be the key to victory. BTW, GREAT JOB Volleyball Squad! Great year!

I know, I know, "Who cares", "Just win".

Miami vs. SMU

Louisville vs. Miami

I hope Reed runs the ball much more than he has been. That's his biggest asset. Doubtful, but hopeful.

Neither SMU nor Louisville are great teams.

USC had the #8 SOS. Lville was #45 and SMU was #59.

USC had one of the toughest schedules in the country.

Lville and SMU would have done worse than USC, if they had played USC's schedule. SC would have cleaned up with SMU or Lvilles schedule.

It's seemed like Klein hesitated encouraging the run because he was trying to develop Marcel's passing, but obviously, its the time we leave nothing on the table. More designed runs may actually catch them off guard and be the ace up our sleeves.

I believe you are correct about Marcel early in the season. Later on I believe they were just protecting him as much as possible in anticipation of more important games down the line. I'm hopeful there are no restraints moving forward. He was starting to use his scrambling ability in Austin and rolled his ankle. Not sure about designed runs but, hopefully, they give him some quick two read routes and then take off if it's not there. Especially if they are in man coverage. That qb draw early in the LSU game was a thing of beauty.

I like to believe the coaches know what they are doing until proven otherwise

I think Klein has been intentionally limiting designed runs because it is a long season when you include the postseason

We did enough running to get to 11-0 and Reed was not banged up going into the tu game so the goal was achieved
tu game I think when MR tweaked something in the 1st half the decision was made to limit his runs given that we were in the playoffs

'the 12th man, Marcel Reed's feet, and our RBs will be the key to victory'

Agree but would just add pressure on Beck.
