We will still have a pretty big issue this fall, but its not the only one. So many picks were thrown when it was 3rd and long and he tried to press too much to make something happen that wasn't there.

The real issue will be at K-State next fall, which is where he's effectively been for the last month.

Stars scored 8 last night

I'd assume a good amount of today's result (outside of player mistakes) was due to horrid game planning on the offensive side. The BAS had this foreshadowed in the back of my head since CK was hired by K-State

It is very disappointing how we scored just 10 points in the last 6 quarters after scoring 10 points in the first half of a road game at Texas.

Yet many will blame all this on Reed. Apparently our o-line and rbs were overhyped?

The last month of game plans have been atrocious. Good riddance Klein.

Maybe Klein has been distracted? Kids need a leader. If Klein was already in the Kansas in his head, we were screwed. Elko needs to install a policy of removing coaches immediately who are hired by other schools.

And I'm hoping Kansas State is rethinking their hire after the last two games.

Klein had one hand tied behind his back with a QB with a limited skill set. If only they had NIL and a transfer portal with unlimited free agency. If we had that plus money we could solve the problem.

People blaming Klein need to watch the game.

Klein didn't turn a walk in TD to Conception into a reviewed incompletion.
Klein didn't throw the ball 3+ feet off target on WR screens. Watch college football for an entire weekend in the fall and mediocre QBs make that throw easily.

Reed has not just had interceptions in recent games - he's had bad "that ball is 5 yards off target" throws.

I mean it's not like we brought in one from transfer and had a couple young ones that could be developed. Somehow, all were COMPLETE busts that had no chance of challenging a poor performing Marcel

You seem to be giving Klein about 3 miles of rope to hang himself and acting surprised that it didnt cinch tight

Well it's the truth. The passes were there to be made and Reed missed them by either under-throwing or over-throwing the receiver. Sometimes he didn't put the touch on them that was necessary to give the receiver a chance. The last pass, which effectively ended the ballgame, should have never been thrown. Reed should have known it was too risky and lived to play 4th down. Yet he tried to thread the needle and well it ended poorly.

Since the LSU game Reed has 9 TDs to 6 INT. That is not very good and has been a primary reason we've lost our last two ballgames. I think it's possible for Reed to improve but it will take a very focused effort to eliminate the issues that are preventing him from being a QB who can win against the very good to elite teams in CFB consistently.

I will say, Reed is by far away the worst QB to play thus far. This includes the JMU, Tulane, Ole Miss x2 QBs, and the running qb at OU.

The worst so far! In terms of mechanics his feet, arm motion etc is just awful

Reed is a very inaccurate passer and throws into traffic WAY too much. On the last interception he didn't have to throw that ball. It was third down and he played it like we had to score on that play. Horrible throw and decision. I just don't see him getting much better honestly. Great kid, but we need better if we're going to be serious about winning.
