So, Texanjeff has a problem.

Long story, my kids have birthdays within two weeks. My daughter was "lucky" enough to have Elsa from Frozen literally come to our home and have a Tea Party with her friends from class last Friday. So, My son's birthday is next week and the party is Jan 10. He has requested an "Aggie Sports Party",

This is the Key Part: We are going to have his class over for some football and he asked if an Aggie Football player was going to come "Like Elsa came to Allison's party".

So, Zoo, does anyone know a recent Aggie Football Player in the Houston area that would be willing to come to our house and teach some 5 year olds how to play football? I would pay same we paid "Elsa" and while that might knit me Nil money it's something.

Is this insane? Anybody got any ideas?

If the kid wants a football player I don't think a yell leader is going to cut it. I'm guessing he could not care less about a yell leader showing up.

Plus, I can't imagine how much my friends would make fun of me if I had a yell leader show up to a birthday party. My non-A&M friends would never let me live it down. And my A&M friends would also never let me live it down. That would be so cringey of you had a yell leader doing yells at a birthday party.

Sorry, don't mean to knock the guy that gave the idea. But the thought of that at a birthday party I took my kid to is hilarious.

You didn't say how old your son is, but if he's basing his request on Elsa's appearance at his sister's party, he's probably wanting a guy in a football uniform, helmet and pads, not necessarily an actual player in regular clothes, right?

*ok, I see 5 year old. I'm guessing he's picturing the whole getup.

I wish you luck
1) start a new thread with a different title the one is a little vague

2) possibly focus on reaching out to a preferred walk on maybe put that in your title of the thread

PWOs are among the best Aggies there are , are almost always from Strong A&M families and are from around here
A couple of young men from my daughters school both were walkons for at least a year

I don't have their contact info and am not close with their families. So I'd rather not give their names

The athletic department should already have a service set up for this. Post-house settlement this is an easy and legal way of getting the players more NIL in an era where we're losing players left and right because there's not enough NIL to go around

Questions my group of friends (at 8 yo) asked a prior Dallas Cowboys lineman who visited our hometown. I remember feeling sorry for him. He did agree to attempt a field goal on the field. It went about 6 feet high.

Ripe for jokes, however there are several former players who operate or assist with football academies and camps in the Houston area. Jeff will just have to do a little googling and emailing to see if he can find one willing to do a small kids camp at his house.
