Big 12 is a joke. No automatic teams in CFP. Let them compete with Sunbelt, CUSA, AAC etc al.

Bc literally every year since the playoffs began, the Big 12 team has been bounced with the quickness.

There aren't any auto bids for any conferences. Literally every conference has to compete with the small conferences

We had our playoff game. We had our shot. Why are some of you going in circles around the Big 12/ACC? Is there another team yall would've been happier seeing? Oregon took care of buisness. End of story.

Just because your team loses doesn't mean you can't observe the deficiencies in the system. What a dumb take.

Lets complain about how much CFB is in decline, but go all into creating a cartel. How observant. If the gumps lose, will some of you start snickering how NIL is the only reason IU is in their position?

Meh. B12 is fine. The only takeaway is that committees don't know anything. OSU may have been the biggest fraud so far.

Didn't TCU win?
Didn't U of H beat LSU?
Didn't BYU win?
Didn't Utah win?

And last I checked (not big12 related) SMU beat Miami and we didn't

How about before we point fingers we take care of business and the SEC take care of business (not just the top 4/16th of the conference but the whole @$& conference and mostly us)

Well NIL is likely a contributor simply bc IU hasn't been big on football in its history. It's always been a basketball school.

I love their success story and this is why I love NIL. No more 1-2 programs winning the NC for years on end. Blue bloods are no longer now that all schools can operate the way they have for decades.

Or that they are even comparable...opt outs and NFL declared players aren't playing. It isn't any kind of accomplishment and bowl games should go away.

NIL is the ONLY reason why the Hoosiers are in this position. And you'll still get miserable posters make snarky comments that they're a basketball school that decided to put money into football. This board thought the committee had it wrong when they were ranked ahead of us closing out the season. Looks like they got it right.

Four Big 12 teams won 10+ games: 12-2 Texas Tech, 12-2 BYU, 11-2 Utah, and 10-3 Houston. If Arizona beats SMU, they would be the 5th Big 12 team with 10+ wins.

TCU finished 9-4 with a bowl win over USC.

Arizona State finished 8-5 with a bowl loss to Duke, and Iowa State finished with an 8-4 regular season record but opted out of their bowl game.

Cincinnati is 7-5 with a bowl game against Navy pending, and 6-6 Kansas State opted out of their bowl game.

The other six Big 12 Teams finished 5-7 or worse.

Five SEC teams made the playoffs, and 2 more SEC teams won 10 games each: 10-3 Vanderbilt and 10-3 Texas.

8-5 Tennessee, 8-5 Missouri, and 7-6 LSU were the only other SEC teams who finished with winning records, and all three of those teams lost their bowl games.

The other six SEC teams finished 5-7 or worse. Despite finishing 5-7, Mississippi State is playing Wake Forest in Duke's Mayo Bowl because of several bowl opt outs. Even if Mississippi State beats Wake Forest, they will still have a losing record. This would be the 2nd time in 10 years that Mississippi State wins a bowl games and still finishes with a losing record.

6 of the 8 Big 12 teams that made the playoffs went one and done, and 2022 TCU and 2023 Texas were the only Big 12 teams that won playoff games. Oklahoma is 0-5 in the playoffs, including 0-4 as a Big 12 champion. Oklahoma lost semifinal playoff games in 2015, 2017, 2018, and 2019 by 11+ points each. Arizona State and Texas Tech were the last two Big 12 champions that lost their quarterfinal games after a first-round bye.

I think the SEC is stronger than the Big 12, but the talent gap is not as wide as it was in the past. We had our opportunity to beat Miami at home, but we squandered it because we scored just 3 points and lost the turnover margin 3 to 1.

The non CFP bowls mean absolutely dick. You'll see the talent discrepancy again when the NFL draft comes around and compare the SEC/B1G to the Big12.

I mean there were other games played between conferences that rarely play should I pretend they didn't happen? The biggest takeaway that makes me sad is that the B10 handled Tennessee and Vandy.
