Everything starts with a great Oline. It made Mond look like an AA in '20. Could do the same for Marcel.

Chase Bisontis should be offered the highest NIL deal on the team for next year

Move Bisontis to LT. Move Nabou to guard.

Buy the best center in the portal. Buy the best tackle and guard we can afford in the portal

Have all of them compete with the youngsters and may the best man win. I'd rather have a few million in portal $ sitting on the bench because our RS Freshmen are so good than not have the horses we need

while i agree we should do everything we can to keep bisontis he is not a left tackle. his lateral quickness is not good enough to play left tackle. he is better in a small box than open spaces.

Bisontis is an NFL caliber guard. Why would you move him to tackle?

Also people are forgetting about Lamont. Dude is a menace, and will probably start for us next year.

OL takes cohesion just as much as individual talent. We will take 2-3, maybe even 4 OL. You may see 1-2 start. But a lot of it's going to have to be homegrown.

No good OL this year had 4 transfers starting on it. I haven't found one.

Quite a few such as Ole Miss had a couple. Oregon had 3. So you can most certainly grab 2-3.

I think your best bet is to grab 3-4 OL, and hope a couple end up starting caliber guys. But you are going to also have to develop guys like Nabou, Rogers, Bourdon, Ivy, Funk, etc., to round out your top 7-8.

Agreed, that's the formula. Michigan's 2023 championship Oline had 3 transfers, 2 from Stanford and 1 from AZ state. They had 2 home grown talents to complete the line.

I still say it's hard for an OL to gel, so having 3/4 starters and doing well is rare. Oregon is the only team with 3 first year transfer OL starting this year.

Tech, Ole Miss, and a couple others did well with 2 OL starters.

Ideally, we grab 3-4 new OL transfers, and 2 of them are able to start, and let the rest rise to the top.

OL is probably the toughest position to pull out of the portal, but hope we snag a few.

Josh Pate had a good idea on this topic:

Don't buy a single lineman, buy a side instead. A complete RT, RG, and C, or the opposite side. That way cohesion is already done. Have them go all in together.

dline played well enough that Oregon didn't win by 60.
