I think it would be more correct to say Miami had a really bad game against us, and we revealed how bad we really were for the second (third) time.

Until you win it all you are a pretender wrt national perception. Even then you will be called a one yr wonder if you don't maintain it. It's just the way it works if you don't have the blue blood name which we clearly don't.

How about Ags wait until next year to see if Elko continues building this program into a consistent power instead of everyone jumping off so quickly. Which is crazy being it's our best year in a very long time and first year to make the playoff.

Look at Miami for perspective. What year is Mario coaching there? He's in year 4 starting there in 2022. Elko is just in year 2.

Totally agree . I am Pro Elko and I think it's clear things are moving in the right direction. I'm just saying you get no respect nationally until you earn it irrespective of some random article .

If you don't care about perception you should . Lack of positive perception keeps you out of the running for titles sometimes even if you were otherwise deserving . It even impacts calls on the field imo altho it shouldn't. If we were in a different uniform vs Miami then the obvious targeting in the end zone maybe changes the outcome .
