The best four teams made it in. Surprisingly, Ole Miss was the best team in the SEC this year.

Sounds impressive until you realize that the entire field in '23 were at least semifinalists. And there is a long list of teams that could have won 2 playoff games in '24 if they didn't have to face a team ranked higher than 12
