Which curse no call penalty is is worse? And which cost us the most?

I don't recall the game situation (score, time left, etc.) for the Manziel horse collar against Auburn, but I remember thinking it was a really big deal at the time.

Neither. We still had a chance to win both games.

The missed blatant targeting call at the end of the game was worse

The word you are looking for is ignored not missed.

Manuel was tackled inside the 10 maybe closer to the 5. If the horse collar call had been made we score and win. But the targeting on Owen's in the end zone cost us an OT game at least

I disagree that it was targeting in the Miami game.

The penalty would have put us near the goal line and we would have scored and won the game. It was near the end of the game.

Then how the hell did he knock himself out?

There was neve a call more obvious than the horse collar

The horsecollar occurred at the 21 yard line and set up a 4th and 13 instead of giving us first down at the 10-11 yard line with about 20 seconds left in the game. (I just found an old video online)

Wouldn't knocking yourself out cold be an "indicator of targeting"?

Exactly. The whole point of calling Targeting is supposedly player safety. The fact they didn't call it means the refs are not doing their jobs and are putting their biases above player health.

This guy is and his NCAA official friend are wrong. Owens was in the process of receiving a pass which makes him defenseless. ANY contact to head and neck area is considered a penalty.

This is very similar to when we got called for offensive targeting on what they considered a blind side block to head and neck area. I would argue that Jahdae was seen, but clearly Owens was defenseless in this case.

It was the worst bc it's supposed to be about player safety and not game outcomes.

I was upset after it initially happened but after some reflection and realizing that arguing the no-call penalty to lose the game would be the same as what ND fans were doing after our game I dropped it.

You win some, you lose some. Just have to hope it doesn't happen in a game that defines your season.

Neither. I would say the "personal foul" during the 2011 Texas game takes the prize.

Agree but corrupt/stupid/blind SEC referees continue to apply the rules of the game selectively.

Fire them all and clean house.

if you "Get hurt" while targeting, it's not targeting. Stayed at holiday inn express.

LSU 2012 at home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There were 4 Pass Interference calls that day all on 3rd and long!

1. Was PI
2. Could have easily not been called.
3. and 4. At no time during the play did the A&M player ever touch the LSU receiver. Never came close.

And if that was not bad enough!!! We rolled JFF to the right and did a throw back screen. The entire LSU D was on the other side of the hashmarks chasing Johnny. There was 1 single defender and 3 offensive lineman on the other side of the field. They rolled him up like a cheap lawn chair and we scored the TD. Cannon fired, were running off the field and flag comes in from Houston... was in the air for 5 seconds.

Chop block!

Same official called all 5 penalties.

I am still mad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Down one score with like 2 to go driving to win it.

The back judge in the 2012 lsu game made some of the worst calls as mentioned in the text above. I figured he had a son on the lsu team as he made calls that defied common sense

If I'm not mistaken, our drive stalled right where the late hit out of bounds should have been called. Who knows if we get the first down and 15 more yards there.

I just don't think the missed targeting would have impacted the game that much. The time was more of a factor than the couple yards we would have gotten or the down.

Is that also the game where LSU had a blatant offsides so we threw the ball up for grabs, it was intercepted, and they didn't call offsides?

Idk about that. If we had 1st and goal from the 2.5 I think we run at least once and we may have scored. Who knows. I'm not losing sleep over us losing the game. I am just tired of us being at the short end of terrible officiating.

Not only that but didn't Johnny get a little hurt and came out for a play or 2 after that? That absolutely impacted the outcome.

He hurt his shoulder vs a dlineman, same injury Allen and Calzada had.

Johnny Manziel was tackled inside the 10 maybe closer to the 5. If the horse collar call had been made, we would have scored the game-winning touchdown and beaten auburn 48-45. But the missed targeting call on Reuben Owens in the end zone costed us an opportunity to at least tie the score 10-10 and send a first-round playoff game to overtime.

Bucky was fired up over that. Can the basketball folks explain where the clock error was he was talking about. I'm confused if it was on the free throw or the final shot.
