A friend of mine is a professor there. I texted him when I saw this, and his response was concern about their brand and enrollment when Waco begins to experience 5 picks a game.

Lots of starting caliber QBs in the portal then the Washington kid also jumped in. Lots of choices

Would loved to see him here, spring competition and whoever loses is backup for a year. Not realistic in today's environment but nice to dream

He and Aranda seem like a weird fit. Neither one is what you would call a "dynamic leader". The SEC Netflix series before the season convinced me that Lagway is too passive to be a great QB.

Not true. The issue was, SEC teams saw how bad he was and didn't want him. Miami was the likely landing spot, but Baylor offered a lot more.
