I mean, faking an illness to keep up your transfer value, after saying you're returning to the team, while actively discouraging a freshman qb recruit from matriculating to Cal should be considered ethically moribund, irrespective of politics.

I will never give a cal student/grad the benefit of the doubt on literally anything they say or think. Throw in an opinion related to football, and I can't think of a more worthless perspective in the history of the world.

Screw cal and their garbage students.

Exactly. There is nothing in the world that anyone related to cal could say that I would believe. Horrible place. Horrible faculty. Disgusting student body.

I work with a Berkeley Grad and that first Mendoza season was fun to experience beside him. Coworker was in school for the Rogers era and it's been a long time since he felt joy watching football.

It was immediately clear that all the evaluators wildly missed on their evaluations of the kid. He was special from the get go.
