I'm not a "S-E-C!" guy and clearly, the days of it being the monolithic superpower of CFP are over for the foreseeable future, and that's fine (screw Sankey)...

But B1G guys (aka: anti-SEC guys) are bigger meat-riders of their top teams online than the average "S-E-C!" guy and they need to be called out.

B1G is a top-heavy trash heap and has been for years...

(Indiana is a great team and story. No hate for them.)

I could go the rest of my life and be very content never seeing the terms "meat-rider" or "glazing" ever again.

Big 10 is Indiana and OSU this year. There are a few okay but not great teams. The rest are complete trash. Been saying this for months.

A&M's bottom of the barrel SEC schedule is still far superior than any from the Big 10 and much more entertaining.

S E C S E C baby is sankeying slowly into the abyss. SEC now has to look to Miami of the lowly ACC to stop the Big ten train from taking over college football. Meanwhile the SEC is swapping head coaches like the trailer park swaps its women.

If the big 10 is top heavy and has been for years, what is the SEC? It's been Georgia, Alabama, and pretty much everyone else for over a decade.

Go 2 decades back and you have Florida and Auburn both playing for and winning nattys.

Go 5 decades back in the B1G and you still have the two same ol' same ol's trying to do the same thing.

The idea that a single team or even several teams represent the whole of a conference is ridiculous

The SEC is more talented top to bottom than any other conference with approximately half the top top 12 and half the top 30 most talented teams based on 247 composite

The BIG and ACC has most of its talent in a handful of teams and the the rest is fodder.

Thats also why the SEC fields close games week after week while other conferences show blowout losses or just 2 bad teams playing

Did you purposely leave out LSU and Auburn winning titles? And lots of other good to solid programs too?

All of college football is diluted but overall average talent has increased across the board. The top tier programs are down in talent as they can no longer monopolize the top talent. HS recruiting rankings don't mean much anymore.

So SEC is down...at the very top. But more programs are significantly improved. So it is a total grind in the SEC as things are more normalized.

No more dominate teams like Saban Bama.

But upside is that talent is spread out more evenly. Teams can't stack players anymore. No waiting for Year 3 to play. 4 and 5 stars want to play immediately. So far more youth playing out of HS...diluting the game.

Look at the Heisman numbers this year. Pretty "blah". 5 years ago...none of these guys would be in the running.

I personally like it. Allow a larger variety of teams to win a Natty any given year.

Just hate that every year is a re-load and you have to learn all the new names.

Yeah, but each year is a new year for hope as a team can reload every year. (And get worse)

It's season by season now. Not a sustained development of a program (in the traditional sense)

And its not just talent thats diluted but experience is diluted as well. Thats why week 6 of the season still looks sloppy across college football.

The portal exports experience and imports inexperience on offense in particular.

Auburn's national title was 16 years ago because they had 1 year with Cam Newton. Then they had a miracle season in 2013 where their luck ran out in the national title game. That's really it. LSU got a single title in there because of a team loaded with juniors and seniors. If you want to go back to Auburn's natty, Auburn only has 3 division championships and 2 conference championships. LSU is the same.

In that same period, Georgia has 2 national championships, and Alabama has 5, 6 of you go back just another year. Georgia has 8 division championships and 4 conference championships, so more success than those two combined. Alabama has 11 division championships and 8 conference championships.

Go back 10 years and Auburn has nothing. LSU has the 2019 season and a division championship and that's it. Alabama have 2 natties each and 9 conference championships between them.

So yeah, Auburn and LSU have had a couple of good years in the last 15+, but nothing close to Georgia, much less Alabama.

And? That doesn't invalidate what I said at all. For the last 10-15 years it has basically been Georgia and Alabama. That's the definition of top heavy for years.

So basically just a lot of rambling excuse making to explain away two more programs
