Who wins?

Legit question? IU (with a loss) isn't staying within 2 scores of that team.
Don't even look at the differences in the strength of opponents each had to play

If Mendoza throws for 2300 yds and 23 TD's next game he'll be close
Did I hear correctly we're trying to compare Mendoza's season to Burrow's? As in they were similar for the QBs? pic.twitter.com/iQbaHdedId

That graphic is dishonestly showing Burrow's numbers after the entire season while only showing Fernando's numbers before the CFP. He's up to 41 TD passes now and 3,349 yards.
For additional context though, Burrow threw the ball 527 times that year, Fernando has now thrown the ball 352 times. While I still think the comparison is kind of silly, the gulf between them is not quite as extreme as that graphic tries to portray considering the huge disparity in volume. Give Mendoza 175 more times throwing the ball and he'd be up around 50 TDs and 4800 yds passing assuming a similar level of production on additional attempts.
It'd also must have been nice for Burrow to have Justin Jefferson and Jamarr Chase to throw to. Mendoza is doing all of this with Omar Cooper, Elijah Surratt and Charlie Becker.

If he gets 20 TDs and 2,000 yards in this next game they'll be comparable. Long shot but it's not over
