From TexAgs Sponsor, Hudson Oaks:

Aggies have always had a way of showing up for each other when it matters most. At Hudson Oaks, our free-rent offer is our version of that familiar Aggie favor. An unexpected helping hand that makes the transition to the next chapter a little easier and a lot more enjoyable! Come see us today!

What's the most Aggie thing you ever got unexpectedly - extra tickets, a favor, a connection, a helping hand?

Years ago, while standing in line at Olsen Field with my 7-year old Aggie waiting to buy a ticket and an Old Ag (complete stranger) walked up to us and handed us a pair of tickets for the game and said "Gig 'em, enjoy!"

I didn't have to waste $1,000 on tickets to the Cotton Bowl this year because we lost to Miami. Thanks football team!

My entire career path the past twenty plus years came about because of a fellow Aggie offering me a job when he didn't have to.

Fall 1976 March In, Houston Texas. Was running late & was lost but found my way in time to get to the Parade. Apparently I parked in the wrong place downtown Houston, dunno I'd never been in Houston before but when I got back the car (71 Duster) had been towed. Some Ol' Ag saw my consternation and what was going on, came over. Then volunteered to drive me to the wrecking yard & proceeded to front me the cash to get it out. He also trusted me to pay him back by writing & mailing a check when I got back to B/CS. Which I did. These were days long before credit cards & cell phones. I still think of this kindness whenever I go downtown Houston.

Hullaballo Caneck Caneck!!!

Went to the NCAA Basketball game in Denver last year-when we drove up to the close in parking lot-$40 a spot- the attendant noticed all our A&M gear, and said someone had paid for parking for all Aggies and waved us through! Pretty darn cool!
