We will have two new coordinators for next year with Hemphill and Wiggins... The position coaches also seem "new" at several positions with the exceptions of RB, DB and OLine we will have a different dynamic leading player development. What are the overall thoughts of the pieces that Elko has assembled? I would have loved to have Jason Witten as TE coach as opposed to the guy from Kentucky whos highlight on his resumee is a Frisco Bowl appearance with Marshall. Are the guys Elko bringing in good recruiters because with the large number of pro and college staffs that are still being shuffled it just seems like we could have brought in more proven coaches.

If Solomon Wiggins stop bombs from being thrown on 3rd and 2, and putting the game on Reed's arm from the pocket when we are on the 5 yard line, I don't see how the offense can help but be better. Swapping out Klein is of zero concern.

Something tells me Wiggins's game plan against Miami would not have been to have Reed sit in the pocket and try to sling it all over the field during a wind storm. Much less try to turn Reed into a pocket passer all season.

Hopefully he ca adapt his play calling to player's strengths.

Thought we were still hiring a DB or CB coach. Per Billy should be announced soon (per his post last Monday 7-10 from then). But he followed it up a couple days later on the radio (or studio session) stating no names as of yet.

With Elko on staff I feel the defense will usually be good as that is his forte.
Offense with new OC and Reed being turnover prone does not give me high expectations for the coming year. This past year it seemed the offense was either boom or bust. We loved and died by the explosive play. Need to be more consistent especially being able to lean on the running game.

Not worried much with the defensive staff. I think it could be one of the better ones we have had here in a long time overall. Hemphill has shown enough good things in his career and Elko has been around him a ton. he hired him in 2025 with the full intention of always being the DC in the near future. It's elko's defense.

True. The Ags OL for some reason thought pregame **** talking to a massive Miami DL was a good idea. I guess they were poorly coached, delusional, and forgot energizing the opponent is always a dumb idea.
