So someone is going to say "that's not fair" and put a stop to NIL and the portal? So we can go back to the good old days before NIL and the portal when everyone had an equal chance at a title. Hate to break it to you, but so far NIL and the portal have leveled the playing field. Many people seem too daft to figure it out but A&M is in a better position now than at any time in our history.

1) I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the highest bidder(ie the team with the highest payroll)has NEVER won a national championship..In Saban's national championships, (back when the pay was under the table) I genuinely believe other programs spent more each year than Alabama.

2) In the last 50 years, teams like Washington, BYU, Colorado, Georgia Tech, Miami, Florida, Florida State, Tennessee, Nebraska and Auburn have won national championships. Were these the teams with the highest paid(under the table) rosters in their respective seasons? I doubt it.

3). By and large, success in college football has always come from coaching staffs that evaluate talent effectively, have experienced rosters, and recruit well because they demonstrate an ability to get guys to the NFL. That has not changed. Cignetti's roster that just won it all was not anywhere close to a highly paid roster. If anything, Indiana just proved that the more things change, the more they stay the same. Elite coaching, roster experience, development and talent evaluation always prevails.

hahaha thats hilarious because many on here still think we didnt buy that class from 2022. and think they came here because it felt like family or the aggie network..all recruits at every school say that... as if other schools dont have a family culture or dont have a network for former students...
