Interesting since Colin has dogged on him of late. Looks like 1:15

Cowherd is the only talking head I can think of that runs a daily segment to everything hes said thats incorrect. Yet so many here have tried discrediting him. The guy knows what hes talking about and actually calls himself out when he's wrong

If he knew what he was talking about he wouldn't need a segment to point out all the stuff he was wrong about.

Really good interview. I'll still argue our 2012 team was the best in the country

Yeah man if only they'd played other teams in some sort of season format to prove it.

They lost to a top 5/10 Florida team in game 1. JFF's first game as a College QB by 1.
They were absolutely jobbed at home by the SEC and the mantra, A&M will not win in its first year by the ref's. 4 PI's. 1 legit 1 not. The other 2, at no time did we touch the receiver, ever during the play. All on 3rd and long. The nail in the coffin was the screen pass for a TD. LSU defense basically ran off the field to the right and we ran a screen back to the left. There was 1 LSU defender with in 40 yards of the ball carrier. Our 3 lineman destroyed him, and we scored a TD. Flag came in from Houston after the cannon fired... Chop block...
Did I mention all 5 flags were by the same ref? Don't believe me go watch the game.
Those were our 2 losses... both by 1 point.

I believe that the back judge in the LSU/A&M game in 2012 was on the take because he called penalties in areas in which he had no business watching. As a previous poster mentioned go back and watch the game. I saw the game live and was incensed at some of his calls.

I have barstool, get up and cowherd as background noise in the morning. It's a 100% fact that when he and JMac agree on a NFL line they were 78% for the year. That's basically impossible. AND he never talks politics or race (even though he's left)

The previous poster that didn't even know the score of the two games? Thats who we should go to for the inside scoop?

I really enjoyed listening to Johnny "Johnny Football" Manziel on Collin Cowherd's radio show. They discussed many interesting topics.
Johnny Manziel, widely known as "Johnny Football," is one of the most polarizing and electric figures in recent sports history. His career is often viewed as a "tale of two tapes": a legendary, record-breaking college run followed by a brief, tumultuous professional career.
The Texas A&M Era (20122013)
Manziel became a household name at Texas A&M, where his backyard-style playmaking and dual-threat ability redefined the quarterback position in the SEC.
* Heisman History: In 2012, he became the first freshman ever to win the Heisman Trophy.
* Signature Moment: His most famous performance was leading the Aggies to an upset victory over No. 1 Alabama in Tuscaloosa, totaling 345 yards of offense.
* Stats: Across just two seasons, he accumulated nearly 10,000 yards of total offense and was responsible for 93 touchdowns. He was inducted into the Texas A&M Athletics Hall of Fame in 2022.
The NFL and Professional Struggles
Drafted 22nd overall by the Cleveland Browns in 2014, Manziel's transition to the NFL was fraught with off-field distractions and a lack of preparation.
* NFL Stint: He played only 14 games over two seasons, finishing with 7 passing touchdowns and 7 interceptions. He has since admitted in interviews and his Netflix documentary (Untold: Johnny Football) that he "hated Cleveland" and lacked the discipline to watch film or study playbooks.
* Post-NFL Leagues: After being waived by the Browns in 2016, he attempted various comebacks in the CFL (Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Montreal Alouettes), the AAF (Memphis Express), and Fan Controlled Football.
Life After Football (20252026)
As of 2026, Manziel has largely pivoted toward media and entrepreneurship, often appearing on podcasts like Impaulsive and sports shows like Undisputed to reflect on his journey.
* Personal Growth: He has been candid about his battles with bipolar disorder and substance abuse, often using his platform to offer advice to younger athletes about the pressures of early fame and the "NIL" era.
* Current Status: While he briefly considered a 10-year "re-do" comeback attempt in 2025, he remains a free agent and is primarily focused on his legacy at A&M and various business ventures, including his bar in College Station, "Johnny Manziel's Money Bar."

Build his damn statue. It's about football, not being a saint. He's one of the most accomplished college football players to grace the Aggie sidelines.
