**** cancer! Obligatory. Especially leukemia as it really seems to just target anyone completely at random.

Great person from a great team working for a great cause.

Been on the donor list for ages now. Back when it used to be called Be the Match. Haven't got a call yet and somehow that is bittersweet.

I swear we live in the Matrix. My daughter is a childhood Leukemia survivor and now has her BSN. For the first time last night she was floated to the Bone Marrow Transplant and Oncology wing of the hospital she works at and met a 24-year-old woman just diagnosed with Leukemia. She's only 2 years older than my daughter so she shared her personal journey with the woman and told her that there is life on the other side of this horrible disease.

I've had the honor of donating marrow twice to a gal with A.L.L through be the match/NMDP, a great group of volunteers and people.

Love you for it! My dad had a bone marrow transfer a number of years ago and saved his life. Took a long time to find a match, need more people to donate/test for a potential match.
