I think After Dark did have 13 players drafted last year. A big drop off this year though. I would imagine over the past two years Burnt and Ags have similar numbers. What matters is making the playoff and gettng playes into the league.

A loss to burnt sucks but if they miss the playoff and Ags don't, Elko had the better year. Full stop!

We had the 9th ranked strength of schedule last year and horn had the 7th ranked schedule last year. Your opinions are mostly wrong and not based in facts. If Marcel doesn't go undefeated, because that is clearly your expectation, he's in trouble!

To me this is the big takeaway. Elko is able to sell his vision and approach and the benefit to the player. Its more than just money, which is huge in my opinion. This feels legit. Lets hope he delivers on it. I'm feeling confident he will. Could be the start of something special. Flame away trolls.

I agree.

And I trust his evaluations so much that even if a player he wants isn't a five star or a high four star, I feel confident that player will turn into a legit player.

I love Elko but I do wonder-Is it really player development when a guy comes to Elko, plays one year, maybe 2 and then gets drafted? KC, Howell, Scourton, Lee, Onyedim

Don't underestimate what outstanding coaching can do to a truly elite athlete within a year. I don't necessarily even mean Elko...just in general.

Sometimes guys with elite ability just need a critical eye and someone that can appropriately motivate them to put in the work to make improvements in a few areas that the next level is looking for.

No doubt..Throw Kirby, Cristobal, DeBoer, Dabo, and McGuire in there and we'll see that what Elko did was not that great..do it year after year like Kirby and then we'll have something..
