the house i just bought came with a pool table and i can't use it (can't sacrifice the space).

things you need to know:

it is in belton.
it is on the second floor.
you are going to have to move it (which may mean taking it apart... i don't really know)

Will you consider $0 as an offer? You probably won't but hey you never know I guess.

the highest offer gets it by april 19th (the first day I can move in), with the understanding that you move it out without damaging the house.

I'm guessing it is going to need to be taken apart a bit, at least have the legs taken off. cause it is too big to fit through the doorway, you're also going to need to bring several guys to come and get it.

FWIW, it probably has to have the slate taken off as well, then the tabletop comes apart. The slate is waxed together and then scraped to level the wax off.......I helped do this one time and it was a pain and tedious but worth the end result.

Make sure to get the brand and measure the length of the playing area. It is probably 8 feet.

i've gotten several emails about the pool table, i thought it would be best to answer everyones questions all at once.

as a reminder, this is a pool table that is in the house i just bought and will move into on april 19th (the table isn't available to be seen b/f then). When I originally posted, i knew next to nothing about the table (it was covered, and i didn't know the sellers weren't taking it with them). Yesterday I had a chance to go through the house again (during inspection) and got a lot more info.

first of all, this is a nice table in perfect condition. it is an imperial international pool table, washington model. not exactly sure how much it retails for, but have been told it is in the ball park of $2100-2600. It is a three piece slate table and solid wood construction. you can see the model on imperial international's website. this model looks exactly like the washington model on that site except the felt on mine is maroon.

I did contact a pool table dealer and he will buy this, as they do sell used tables. based on my description he felt he would sell it for about $1500, so i assume he would buy it for 60-75% of that.

At this point, I would consider this range to be a valid offer. If anyone is still interested let me know.

Keep a few things in mind:
-it is in belton and is on the second floor. -it may need to be professionally taken apart b/c i am alomst certain it won't fit out the door and down the hall as is. I've been told it costs about 250 to have this done (taken apart, moved and re-assembled). If you want to try and do it yourself, that's your business, but I'm not intersted in having any damage to the house while you experiment.
-it is not available until april 19th
-i was able to get several pics, but am having trouble getting them transferred from my camera to my computer. however, if you are still interested in this pool table let me know and I will get you pics

as it stands, i will entertain offers over $500, if still interested please email at joe_a_sullivan@yahoo.com

i finally got the camera to link up... if anyone wants pics emailed to them, let me know.

fyi, I currently have more than one tentative offer at $500 but have yet to get the pics to the pool table resale shop guy.

At this point, no offer has been accepted, so it is still open. I assume when dealing with something like this you probably want to see it in person, just a reminder that won't happen until april 19 at the earliest (move in day for me).

If by seeing pics, anyone is willing to make a firm offer I will consider it and let everyone else know if/when the table is no longer available.

I'm moving into a townhome in May........ I guess that doesn't work well for me.

Wonder how my neighbors would feel about it. Billiards can get pretty loud huh? Or maybe I'm being too considerate of my neighbors I don't even know yet.

Edit: for what it's worth... I have ALWAYS wanted a pool table and would give an actual legitimate offer on this

i thought i should point out that the pics don't look quite as good as the table does in person... i think there was a lot of glare that give the impression of some minor flaws.

if you notice, the "line" on the felt is in different positions in each photo.

I remember when I inspected the table I didn't see any flaws.
