A&M had a strong start to the game and took the early 2-0 lead. Good hustle and energy and passing was good. Second half was another story. Things slowed down considerably and the passing got sloppy and we allowed LSU to control a lot of possession. The Tigers started getting looks and open shots from 25 yards out and made Morche actually work a bit. We had a couple of shots in front of goal missed but Smith had another shoulder goal off a corner to put it away 3-0.

One thing that is frustrating is watching our midfielders accept passes in transition and then suddenly slow down and pass backwards instead of continuing the momentum forward and not allowing the defense to get back. We need to go forward more than we go backwards.

Jordan Hill had an outstanding 1st Half and had one of the best 1v1 takeaways in the box I've seen this year. That was an amazing play. She also is making good passes now and isn't turning the ball over. Alston was solid as well. Asdis continues to play well in the middle of the field (and at forward) by winning balls and distributing with good passes into space. Kate Hajdu got a lot of playing time tonight with Bates nursing an injury.

Kansas is a good team but not elite, so we'll need to be ready to go on Sunday. Over a year without a loss is an impressive accomplishment.
