So, any preferences on our new manager. It's way too soon for Lampard. Take away the name and he's a mid table Championship manager right now. Allegri or Blanc would be fine choices. Please no Mourinho Act 3. I can't imagine the hate we'd get if Diego Simeone managed us.

I want a suit wearing, no nonsense having, modern leader that the kids will believe in.

Chelsea beat St. Pat's Athletic today 4-0. Also playing in this match was Trialist B (Eric Molloy) who wasn't able to get on the scoresheet twice for two teams against Chelsea in a week

So question for yall. The wife and I will be in London for a weekend this fall and it looks like there will be a home game for Chelsea and we thought it would be fun to go to a Premier League game. Full disclosure I am not knowledgeable at all and have no allegiances. But since we're there we'd like to see it in action. We'll get scarves to fit in though I'm sure.

What should I expect to pay for tickets? Where to get them (directly from the website, stubhub or other)? Do games sell out and are tickets hard to get? We're staying in the area so I assume there are fun bars/restaurants etc to pregame at?

The difficulty will likely depend on how big the match is.

To legitimately get tickets you go through the following process. They go on sale 6 weeks before the match, for the first week, members can buy one ticket each, 2nd week members and season ticket holders can buy two extra tickets, 3rd week and after, general public.

The secondary ticket market is quasi-illegal, but I believe still exists. I think Chelsea uses viagogo as their official secondary marketplace, so you might check there.

It's Oct 19 against Newcastle United. Is that big enough to cause problems for getting tickets?

So based on what you are saying, are tickets mostly general admission then? If people are buying a single ticket in one week, then a week later get more tickets?

Tough to say, as an American its hard to be intimately familiar with the market as id be for say A&M basketball or football tickets. Probably a decent option for a game, some smaller clubs might give you a softer market, but i think Newcastle is also going to possibly be the worst team in the league this year.
