The forecast has temperatures in the 70s during the game. How cold was it in Santa Clara?
I was in Escondido in San Diego County in July freezing in a 74 degree temperature. When the wind blows off of the pacific it can be an extremely cold wind. An afternoon game should be much warmer than the night game.
The game is at 1pm pacific time. That's 3 for y'all in Texas. Pepperdine won their opener against UC Riverside 3-0. The overall series between the Aggies and the Waves is tied at 1-1. It has been a very competitive pair of games with the Aggies taking the last matchup in 2017 with a 1-0 overtime win.

It's pretty warm in Malibu today. Feels like mid 80s. I'm already sweating just walking around. Not nearly as chilly as Thursday night.
The field has some brown areas and the grounds crew is spreading some green stuff that you see at golf courses. There is a bare spot at the top of the penalty box in front the west goal. I'm glad I bought some sunscreen yesterday. The baseball field is just below the soccer field. The slight breeze feels good. Looks like the team bus just pulled up.
My son plays baseball at Pepperdine. It will be plenty warm. His girlfriend is soccer player. So, this will be the first time in my 51 years, to be rooting for the "other" team. Feels a little strange.

They might as well just let the camera man run around the field with the players. Might be nice getting some shots from inside the scrum on the corner kicks.
The press box is temporary scaffolding. At least they got David Ellis a table to put his stuff on and put a cover over his head. They actually got some water bottles to sell at the game. The rest room is 4 portable toilets which the players have to use also. No permanent facilities here.
This ref subscribes to the No Blood, No Foul school of officiating.
Oof, would have been nice to clean up that free kick with a goal.

Wow, very nearly a goal for the Aggies but takes an unlucky bounce off the woodwork.
