Aggie Soccer Twitter has a picture of the team with the team from Haiti after apparently playing last night. There is also a picture of Barbara Olivieri graduating from high school and it says she is already enrolled and with the team.

I was in the room here one day... watchin' the Mexican channel on TV. I don't know nothin' about Pele. I'm watchin' what this guy can do with a ball and his feet. Next thing I know, he jumps in the air and flips into a somersault and kicks the ball in - upside down and backwards... the dang (sc) goalie never knew what the hell hit him. Pele gets excited and he rips off his jersey and starts running around the stadium waving it around his head. Everybody's screaming in Spanish. I'

USWNT looked extremely rusty last night in their 4-0 win over Haiti but that aside, I was mildly impressed with Haiti's tactics and discipline (less impressed with their time wasting but it is what it is). I know their federation is trying to support the team more but their development could be huge for the region. Assuming Haiti played against the Aggies with the same effort they gave last night, I think a 1-1 draw in a spring friendly while missing star players is not a bad result at all.

I felt bad for the USWNT that my own town only had 5 people that were interested in going to the game to watch.

Yeah that was brutal. I'm headed down for Friday nights match and expect it to be a little better attended. Midweek games against poor opponents in the rain are always going to be bad but CONCACAF always does a horrible job with these tournaments. Prices are too high and there is absolutely zero marketing. Hell they couldn't even settle the tv rights until 2 days before the first match.
