This reply will be fairly biased, coming from the chairman of Fort Worth's Bayern fan club, but I'll try to keep it measured.

Lewy is, IMO, the undisputed best striker in the game currently. If not top, most everyone SHOULD have him in the top 3. His reputation is well known.

Mueller, on the other hand, has to be one of the most underrated players in the world. He doesn't do all the flashy things, but does the simple things flawlessly. Der Raumdeuter (the space interpreter) is truly the one who makes Bayern's attack go. Kovac lost his job in large part due to starting Coutinho over Mueller early in the year. Hansi Flick understands how vital Mueller is, and we can all see the results since he took over. I truly think Jurgi Lw is kicking himself for putting Mueller out to pasture for Die Mannschaft.

As far as Europe is concerned, I obviously follow Bayern more closely than any other club, but just based on stats and what you see on the pitch, the Lewy-Mueller connection has to be near the top of any duo in the game right now.

Such a horrible decision to cancel the award. Especially being 8ish games to the end of everyone's season, which every league finished outside of Ligue1.

Lewy should have been crowned. He's 3 goals away from CR7's Champions League record of goals scored during a tournament. And that'll be in less games due to the 2nd legs not happening in the quarters and semis.
