Have not kept up with team until recently. What happened to Rhegan Smith?

She opted out

She played in the first game, but opted out for the rest of the 2020 season.

honestly if/when she comes back, I don't know if she's in the starting lineup. I think we got our starters up front.

She's be good depth though. But if I had to bet, I think the transfer portal is in her future. But that's an opinion.

Covid is the opportunity to re-evaluate given the free scholarship year, yes. Maybe she will graduate. A lot of students from school districts around her come in with lots of test-out or dual credit. More so if private.

I think we need to realize the intercollegiate athletic recruiting game is very different today. And the portal/transfers are less punitive on purpose.

She played a lot in the opener, she's definitely still got a place on the team. Her speed off the bench would be nice to have. And skilled, experienced depth is always good.
