Someone mentioned it on the main Gold cup thread but ideally the point of this tournament will be for three to five players to make a case to be included in world cup qualifying. Even if that just means they're on the bench for qualifying we're going to need the bench

I actually like Arriola as bench player for WC. He'll put the work in both ways, can get in behind. You don't want to start him though

Confed was lost because of the pandemic and they couldn't hold it in Qatar during the summer this year. I don't think there was a desire to bring it back in 2025.
