This makes two straight games that Megan Rapnoe has not been playing with the Women's National Team. I know they are playing a weak Uzbekistan team, but I hope she never plays for our country again. She is toxic.

The lineup we put out for the last two camps was very young, which is what we have all wanted.
It is time to turn the page and move on from the Rapinoe/Lloyd/Krueger group. The ones that are a bit younger (Sauerbrun, Morgan) can still be useful to the team, but we needed to get the youth involved.
In all honesty, I do not understand 2 game friendly windows with Uzbekistan. I think, for sake of real competition and succession of players, I would much rather see a 100 person USWNT camp, divide into 4 teams and play each other. You would learn a lot more about your depth and what you have rather than beating up on some national team that looks way out of their depth.
Nice try! You aren't pulling me down into that rabbit hole!LeonardSkinner said:Aston94 said:

Or what about your average high school boys team?
Take it to the Politics Board circle jerk. You'll get the attention you seek over there.rgleml said:

This is the soccer board. I come here to read about soccer. If you want to complain about players' politics then that should be done on the politics board.Teacher_Ag said:

Agree to disagree. FIFA banning Russia directly effects leagues, tournaments, the WC play-in games. Rapinoe's politics has nothing to do with what goes on on the field.Furlock Bones said:
It's the national team. Politics are part of the national teams. I see Rapinoe/USWNT discussion to be on the same level as discussion about FIFA banning Russia.
When a player (any player) inserts themselves into the Political realm, they make themselves fair game for criticism or praise based on their political bent. Rapinoe is not excluded from that.Furlock Bones said:
That's fine you can disagree. But I think if you don't want to be a part of the discussion you can ignore the thread. I don't want the whole board doing politics. But some discussion is allowed.
