Good for them.

Was it that Burnley was the closest they could get to maroon?

Haha. Burnley has a good marketing plan and are targeting the US Market hard. American owners, brought in JJ Watt, now Dude Perfect. With Leeds going down, it's a good time to become the "new" American favorite. DPs reach with the youngsters is huge! My 8-year old watches it every time he turns the TV on.

It's only for their youth teams I believe.

Still awesome though.

Can you buy a youth team jersey in adult sizes? I'd love to have options for non-elite team jerseys that aren't plastered in crypto, gambling, or in my Everton's case, cryptogambling ads.

Why?

Because for decades English football as a whole has at best dismissed American soccer and the American soccer player and at worst laughed at it. And now many English football fans feel that numerous American owners and hedge funds are hollowing out their clubs and simply turning them into revenue generating companies meant to enrich themselves and have turned that laughter into hatred.

There probably isn't a better reminder of that than a sponsor like Dude Perfect. To be clear, I have absolutely no problem with them as a sponsor and great for them. It's in no way problematic (unlike the litany of gambling sponsors that adorn jerseys but I digress). It just struck me as something that would signal the further American commercialization of English football (Dude Perfect is not an iconic brand and is overtly American) and that would anger a sizable portion of the football fans. But I didn't catch that it's only for their youth teams and as such, I don't think anyone will actually give a crap.

(Good that Burnley is only doing it for youth jerseys. Makes obvious sense given the brand. But the fact that they didn't agree to it for the main jersey means that either the Dude Perfect check wasn't big enough or Burnley also thought it would be problematic.)

Fair enough. I figured most of the kit sponsors are foreign instead of English.

Wonder if this has to do with JJ Watt becoming an investor

You're right. I guess my initial reaction wasn't the fact that it was foreign but rather that it was hyper American.
