Official Group D Thread. Obviously we will have threads going for each USA game, so I guess this is for the other 3 matches. Group D is home to co-hosts UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, Paraguay, Australia and Turkey. I believe based on FIFA rankings, this is the most even group of this stage.

We all know our boys in the Red, White & Blue. Turkey come into their 3rd World Cup with their last being a 3rd place finish in 2002. Australia is in their 6th straight World Cup.

I am annoyed that we have all day to schedule these matches and we still make it to where half the country is going to bed when the last one kicks off. Why would you not at least start 1 hour earlier so that the lasted west coast kick is at 8pm pt

FIFA likes money for commercial breaks with indoor and outdoor stadiums alike.

To standardize the game experience across all matches and avoid any controversy, they decided to have "hydration breaks" in every match regardless of conditions.
