again. it's my opinions. i do know what im talking about. to recap on my opinions about the spurs are so INCORRECT:
-manu and tim will probably be plagued with injury. i hope not, but the last 2 years have definitely pointed to so. they looked slow and pretty aging last year.
-blair was a steal at that pick. he's not going to be the ROY. he will be millsap at best in a couple years. he's undersized and will struggle in the west guarding bigger opponents (much as millsap has on defense)
-mcdyess is the spurs best pickup, and could be the most effective by spreading the paint with his midrange jumpshot allowing parker to penetrate. however, i think the spurs are going to be too heavily dependent on parker, and they cannot rely on the 3pointer (pretty much bonner's entire role). Manu even looked to get a little 3pointer happy.
-richard jefferson is a good middle of the road player. a good pickup, and the kind of player the spurs needed at the SF position. but he's still too much of a jump shooter (or at least he was last year).
-the spurs are a good team this year, and should get about 55 wins, even with injuries. if they all stay healthy all year it could be 60 wins.
-all in all, i think the spurs are are the 2nd best team in the west. and this is the best team on paper the spurs have had in a while. and i think duncan's window is done after this year. and sadly, they will not get to the finals this year.
