The Mavs showed guts tonight... I don't think there was anyone who really thought they wouldn't pack their bags and leave down 22. They battled back well, just got outlasted by a team that has a lot of experience closing out games and series.
Another great series out of these two teams.

That one stings. But it was a great game, good series. I can't see the Spurs losing to Phoenix or Portland. I'm tired of seeing LA come out of the west.
I don't think holding Roddy out was as bad a decision as it seems like right now. He was a big wild card and the Mavs were hanging tough with more consistent players.
That said, I probably would have had him in from the 8 to 4 minute mark at least.

Congrats to the Mavs for a tough series. I picked them to win in 5 and have never been happier to be wrong. They have a bright future with Brendan, Rodrique and Caron on board.

I must admit I didn't see the Spurs winning so it's hard to talk too much trash. Glad to see they aren't quite ready to ride off into the sunset.
The Mavs have plenty of bargaining chips to re-tool and will be threats to compete for the next several years. Will be an interesting offseason though.

I certainly didn't see the series going down like this. Spurs played like a team possessed. I will never again predict the end of the Spurs dynasty until Timmy, Mr. Longoria, Manose, and Pop are gone.
