At one point, I was thinking to myself. "Who would have thought this would become the Beubois vs Hill show". Those were the two guys keeping their teams in the game.

Luckily Hill seems a bit more polished at this point.

Except we aren't gonna get homecourt in a single series ? It's always done by seed, not by series correct?

no but we either get phoenix or a beat to hell portland team- both are great matchups much better than Utah or the Lakers in round 2

Dallas is/was a hell of a team that easily could have made the WC finals if they hadn't drawn q salty spurs first round

I don't understand your point, but Pop is a helluva coach ... probably the most under-rated coach in the NBA.

under-rated?

Wow! All I ever hear is acknowledgments of his superior coaching/management skills.

Just tonight, one of the TNT announcers said he was among the best NBA coaches of all time.

I honestly can't recall reading or hearing one bad thing about his coaching ability in the last 6 or so years.

If you mean though that he is not regular dinner-time topic like Phil Jackson, or maybe Doc Rivers or Nellie, yeah, he is very low profile.

I remember not liking him when he started.

me too. and my wife still hates him. but after seeing how he handles people, you have to admit. I doubt there's any coach in the NBA who has more true respect from his players, and I hear it is because he is brutally honest with them and they know he always has the team's best interest at heart.

My mom blames all Spurs losses on Pop and all wins on the players..She never gives him credit..I laugh..Great coach and funny IMO

Pop told the team during a timeout in the first half, "next person to miss a free throw has to buy me a car". Timmy asked him what color he wanted! (per SA Express News)

Pop gets a lot of deserved credit for the game and series adjustments, but I think he and the Spurs organization deserve a lot of credit for developing players.

Spurs fans probably have a better perspective on this but it seems like players like Hill, Parker, Ginobilli, etc take huge steps from their 1st to their 2nd season. Maybe I'm wrong on this, but as good as Blair has been this year, I expect him to be a much bigger impact player next year.
