CHOOOOOOOOOOOOKE! Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to support a team that won a championship.... Don't even get me started on the Rangers

Seriously, that is a terrible comparison.

Are you under the impression that the Cowboys should win a Superbowl at least every 5 years?

What do you suppose the other 31 NFL teams will be doing along the way...trying to help them out?

I am beginning to think that Mark Cuban is the NBA's Jerry Jones.

Yah man if you want to really ***** go be a Cleveland fan. Or go be a Cubs fan. There are plenty of people who have never won championships.

I hate that the Mavs have been futile for the last 10 years and that the Cowboys just won a playoff game in 12 years, but there are a lot of people who have it worse. Stop complaining.

Yeah, this is like a Nuggets fan comparing their playoff futility with the Broncos.

Let's see, I like:

Cowboys
Stars
Rangers
Aggies
Mavericks

...only one of those has a championship in the last 15 years

It's like some of you people forget what this franchise was like before Cuban.

This thread takes me back to 98 & 99 when my Broncos won their 2nd straight SB, my Spurs won their 1st title, my Ags won the Big 12 & my Devils won the Stanley Cup.

I know it will never be better than that, but that was an awesome couple of years, and my Spurs added 3 more.

Born and raised in SA. Dad lived in Colorado, so I would get pawned off their during summers growing up and I liked the Devils because of their name & watching Clerks back in the day.

I'm glad your from SA cause I would have given you so much crap if you were from any other city.

I've always wondered who I would root for if I was from a city that didn't have a team in every major sport.

THIS. I remember watching games live and on TV and when we'd only lose by 10 points it was a good game. We'd be down 20+ points almost every game it seemed!

My dad's former boss used to be an owner of the Mavs before Cuban, so I used to sit courtside at Reunion all the time. Place was deserted in the mid/late 90s. I remember Michael Finley making a game winning 3 pointer at the buzzer and yelling and screaming. He gave me a high five as he was running along the court side seats. Good memory. One of the few wins I remember seeing live at that time.

When Cuban bought the team, we still had court-side seats (part of the selling contract - former owners got court-side seats as long as Reunion was around). I remember seeing one of Dirk's first games his rookie season. I remember thinking how effing tall Shawn Bradley was in real life. He looked like he was on stilts.

Syd said he's from SA and he's a Broncos fan and a Stars fan. So obviously not. If that was true then he would be a Cowboys/Texans and a Stars fan.

Or teams that family members have ties to.

When I was 7 and first started playing baseball, my favorite player was Eric Davis simply because I played centerfield in baseball and had a cousin that lived in Cinci.

Both the Cowboys and the Mavericks are going to win a title next year.
